Anxiety is a normal human emotion that everybody experiences at times. Many people fell anxious or even nervous when situations like problems at work, before taking a test or making important decision appears. Anxiety disorder however is a whole new story. They can cause distress that effects and interferes with a person’s ability to live a normal life. Anxiety disorder is a type of serious mental illness. For people that suffer it, the constant worry and fear are overwhelming and can be crippling to some.
Panic disorder- People with this condition have feelings of terror that strike suddenly and repeatedly with no warning. Other symptoms of a panic attack include sweating, chest pain, irregular heartbeat and even feeling of choking. Social anxiety disorder- Also called social phobia. It involves overwhelming worry and self-consciousness about everyday social situations. Usually feared of being judge by other people, or behaving in way that might cause and lead to embarrassment. Specific phobias- It’s an intense fear of a specific object or situation, such as snakes, height or flying.
